Customers today have an increased appreciation and desire for entertainment features in their vehicles.
- A state-of-the-art, factory-integrated Blu-ray™ rear entertainment system is standard on Odyssey EX-L Navi/RES, Touring and Elite models.
- Two sets of wireless headphones are supplied with this system.
- All models have a 10.2-inch high-resolution WSVGA screen.
- The DVD player is conveniently located near the bottom of the center stack.
- The system is equipped with High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)21 technology for connecting high-definition players, cameras or other hardware.
- A 110V outlet eliminates the need for a personally supplied converter.
- The system can accommodate audio and video streaming media via a Wi-Fi DA enabled smartphone or mobile hotspot connection, or via the HondaLink® telematics unit on Touring and Elite trims.
- The system can be controlled by remote control as well as the CabinControl® app, which can be downloaded to compatible smartphones.
- The fun and kid-friendly “How Much Farther?®” app can use plotted destination data from the on-board navigation system to help kids visualize their journey; four cheerful themes can be selected.
Odyssey audio and connectivity systems
What is the benefit?
Odyssey allows passengers to enjoy their favorite audio entertainment on the go – using the latest technology.
Function:
Odyssey audio systems provide a wide range of features and options for every trim level.
- The LX features a 160-watt AM/FM audio system with 7 speakers, including a subwoofer, a USB Audio Interface2 for connecting an iPod®25 or other compatible storage device, and an auxiliary input jack.
- EX, EX-L, EX-L with Navi/RES and Touring models add HD Radio and SiriusXM® Radio18 technology.
- EX-L with Navi/RES, Touring and Elite models add CD playback capability with the RES disc player.
- The Odyssey Elite delivers concert hall-quality sound through a premium 11-speaker (including subwoofer) 550W system.
- The Radio Data System, or RDS, on all equipment displays song titles, artist names and other information that FM radio stations can broadcast.
- RDS will also search for music by specific genres such as rock, country and other categories.
- Speed-Sensitive Volume Control (SVC) automatically increases or decreases the volume to compensate for external road noise as the vehicle speed changes.
CabinControl® (EX and higher)
What is the benefit?
Passengers can control several of the Odyssey’s functions with their compatible smartphones, a remarkable convenience.
Function:
Up to eight compatible devices can be connected to the CabinControl® system via Wi-Fi Display Audio.
- The HondaLink® app must be downloaded to each compatible device.
- All basic audio functions – except volume – can be controlled by each device.
- Provides full control of the rear air conditioning functions (if the rear door lock has not been engaged in the front).
- An amazing feature allows songs stored on any device to be added to a social playlist and played through the Odyssey audio system.
- For models equipped with RES, the RES remote control and its functions can be duplicated on each connected device.
- On models with the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™, connected devices can send address and POI information to the Navi system.
